Have you looked at the TVWish suggestion system?

I really enjoy TVWish and use it for a large portion of my recording
scheduling. For example, if I think of a movie I want to see or record, I
just add it to my "wants" file, and *eventually* it gets recorded. I don't
even need to worry about finding that in my listings (or whether it's even
in the current listings).

It would be nice to have a web interface to TVWish, though. I appreciate the
simplicity of editing text files, but it would also be nice to see an
alpha-sorted list of haven't-yet-been-recorded movies, as well as the list
of previously recorded tvwish movies (with a "forget old recording" button
next to each should I decide to re-record a movie at some point)
