[mythtv] Question for Mac OS X Devs

I have been working on getting an xcode project made automatically by
qmake. I want to use xcode, because I like things like syntax coloring
etc and am generally just more comfortable in an ide. So far, I have
done the following:

1) Checkout fresh cvs
2) ./configure
3) qmake -project
4) qmake -spec macx-pbuilder

Now this makes an xcode project with all of the sources in it, however,
it seems to ignore all of the things that are set to off for the mac
build. ie it tries to build the backend etc which will not work
currently on os x. Anyone have any ideas on how to make it stick to
the macx settings when doing an xcode project? Just thought someone
who knows something about qmake might have an clue.
