in mythmusic there is a visualisation called goom
this is based on software from http://www.ios-software.com/
since the port (some two years ago) the goom software has been enhanced
one of those enhancements that was added last august was a scripting language
updating mythmusic to include this might be a stretch of your terms of
reference, but it does include myth and compilers in the same sentence.
another idea might be some sort of natural language input for the scheduler
"record star trek, except for next generation, as long as it doesn't clash
with i dream of genie, in which case record i dream of jenie first and find
another time when star trek is showing and record it"
this could be translated into a set of rules that the current scheduler could
interpret.
or how about voice control of myth
i realise that these might be off the wall - but they might get you thinking
of something that *you* want to do
