[mythtv] Running of extrenel Programms (mythgame)

I have seen a patch for joystick use in mythgame.

In this patch the popen is replaced with myth_system(exec);

Is it better to uses myth_system for every external program call??

Because I’m currently writing a few mythgame patches…
