if you have to make changes to make it to work
then it is indeed broken
the fix was obvious in any case
i suppose the question as to why the ebuild insists on forcing the compilation
on the subdirectories when the makefile is perfectly capable of doing it for
itself is pertinent. if the emake -C libs/<whatever> are removed then the
build works fine.
