[mythtv] SEGFAULT but not when via VNC?!?

I'm currently recompiling myth and trying to get gdb to work (I've
never used it before) but just felt like I had to put this out there:
- Today's CVS
- pcHDTV HD-3000
- do dvtstream /dev/video32 ##, start mythbackend, start mythfrontend
- try to play live tv and get a black screen and lots of hard drive
activity for 10 seconds
- then mythfrontend exits with a segmentation fault

...but....

If I am connecting via VNC to my myth box and then run mythfrontend i
get video (abit very slow) on the remote computer with sound coming
out of my tv.

So, what would cause the segfault on the local machine, but not in a
remote VNC session? I'm still rather new to this so I have no idea.

Thanks much,

Jason
