The code in transform.c to put the 4 byte header in never gets called, until
it does, AC3 will not work without a patch to mpec.c. I am still reading and
trying to understand the code but should have an explanation soon.

Unfotntuantely I am not experienced with DVB dev so I am muddling through
this. Can anyone point me to a good doc on the DVB protocol?

Marcus, if you are listening, would providing you with a dvbsnoop dump of the
AC3 stream help you debug this?

Note there is also some logical stuff in the patch for avformatdecoder.cpp to
help it automatically select AC3 audio when it is available (only some
stations in oz transmit AC3) so 3.5 will not work properly where audio
changes from AC3->PCM between channels without that bit, even if transform.c
was working correctly.

Do you still get the stuttering?

Hmmm, I couldn't even get mine running for two minutes, I must have done
something wrong 'cause noboby else seems to have the problems I had. Btw what
cvs command did you use to get the myth code to patch the 3.5 onto? There
doesn't seem to be any tags for the dvb patches so I use the date which may
not work depending on when the patch was created within the day and what gets
commited after it.

Recording AC3 works fine in my setup. In what way is it broken?
