There are lots of different versions, I think this would be pretty hard 
to do for all of them unless you got Clonto involved.

Oh no, forget that ;) The configurations on the BTTR site are really 
rather useless, like 8Mb fast ram for OCS games... And certainly won't 
work very well for original games (i.e., not cracks).

It is better to just ask what model you want to run against, say:

A500 (OCS)
A500 + 1/2 Mb fast ram
A600 (ECS)
A1200 (AGA)

I guess you could also default to A500 + 1/2 Mb fast, and as long as you 
make the emulation as accurate as possible (all compatibilty options 
turned on - for example, in this configuration: 
http://www.caps-project.org/files/OCS_13_1Mb_800_600.zip) then I bet 99% 
of games would run under these models.

Agreed even with my suggestion, any further tweeking than this (aside 
from choosing a kickstart image) could be done by enablng the editing of 
the command line string - it is for advanced users after all.
