You can add, rename or delete categories by pressing the little
button next to the category combo at the top of the main smart playlist
editor screen.

I can see how this would be useful. I'll give it some thought.
One of the next things I might work on is a better way to browse
large music collections that will allow you to filter/search long
lists of artist/albums/tracks etc. That is unless someone else beats me to
it.
It is something that a few people have said they might work on something
similar. I haven't got past thinking about it yet!
