I use it too, the bob deinterlacer is the only one that maintains full 
50 Hz field rate (not frame rate!)  and thus delivers the same fluid 
image as a normal TV would. Especially horizontal movements are natural 
instead of a smearing, blurry image that you get when either using one 
of the other deinterlacers (that combine the 50 Hz fields into 25 fps) 
or plain TV-out. Try it for yourself!

Hopefully that with the current patching going on the vertical shake 
error disappears. I encountered that one as well with a CVS build. The 
only thing to get around was to pause playback and resume again until 
the image was 'stabilized' again.
