[mythtv] gettin channel freq. tables

hello to all of you:
i live in Argentina and i'm tryin' to get my mythbox
tv to work via tuner. the problem is that i can't get
the channels freq. using de scantv script (this is the
script that drake uses to get channel freq. tables
from a bt878 tuner, like de pinnacle pctv pro, etc)
and i don't know if there're other methods that i can
try.
xmltv grabbers do this?
any help is welcomed.
