Ok, I've been trying this. I'm now using TS mode, HW decode (set in
mythtvsetup to work around issues I've seen mentioned relating to
XVMC_VLD) and have commented out the 1 line in avformatdecoder that
mentions av_remove_stream.

I'm testing it by watching live tv and changing to another DVB channel
which isn't broadcasting at that time (I'm in the UK, so tuning to
BBC3 during the day, or trying to tune to CBBC during the evening).
Obviously the tuning to that channel fails, but then livetv tries to
re-tune the original channel. At that point I then lose audio (picture
is ok). Exiting livetv and re-entering all is ok again. Using +/-
doesn't make any difference at this point either.

Since this shares the same audio PID it sounds like the issue being
discussed here but maybe its different (with similar symptoms). Or
maybe I haven't edited avformatdecoder properly.

Thanks
Peter
