Which is exactly why I didn't bother re-installing it after the latest
upgrade of Myth. 

The only sensible way to fully integrate with myth is via the scheduler,
so the tuner will not got 'stolen' from mythfm when a TV recording is
due...

Which is exactly my problem too ;-)

(this type of discussion should not even be held on this list IMHO, as
we are contributing any form of code ;-).
