I'm still not clear, why can't you just use irexec for this?  Maybe it's
a misunderstanding of LIRC on my part.  I know (I think) someone said it
was because they were using internal LIRC support.  Can't there be 2
programs listening for events from LIRC so Myth responds to its events
and irexec responds to its events?  Does this not work with internal
LIRC support?
