[mythtv] sync & bob changes in the last month

Yes. As a temporary workaround you could set your xv colour key to
black:

xvattr -a XV_COLORKEY -v 0

This does make desktop warping slightly strange though because you end
up seeing TV in your terminal blackness for a split second.
