[mythtv] pre-buffer pause with "usleep with busy wait" timing

A bit more info on this :

If i disable extra audio buffering i get periods of about 10 seconds 
without sound and with video skips (looks like fast forward) .
If i enable "use video as timebase" I still get skips but also an 
occasional frozen picture and what looks like a hanging frontend.

I would like to know if this is a bug in myth and I should try and 
provide a backtrace or if it its something specific to my system setup.
