[mythtv] issues with current cvs mythtv mythmusic

i recently (last week) started using mythtv in earnest.  i too am in 
australia and am using a DVB-T card (DVICO Fusion DVB-T .... thanks Chris).

a few traps for the unwary that i discovered that weren't particularly well 
documented:
  1. ensure that you ALWAYS have a "playback filter" on every channel.
     i assumed that filters were optional - but without them, there ain't 
no video.
     (the error message said something about bad PIDS ...)

  2. ensure that you don't have the AC3 audio stream defined in the Audio PID.
    it may sort-of-work sometimes (i presume on channels that didn't have AC3
    defined or weren't broadcasting an AC3 stream at the time), but this was
    causing SEGVs in mythbackend.
    (i have lots of gdb backtraces on this -- i just put it down to MythTV 
not being
    AC3 compatible ... is it meant to be?)
