Good point.  I think it was my fault.  I let her be in the room for the first 
few times I used it, so she saw me sitting there saying, "hrmm...  I wonder 
where to configure that part...." and "well, I wonder why that didn't skip 
the commercials....?"

I agree that this would be useful.  I still don't think I understand the 
transcoding screens yet, and they probably don't even have any effect on my 
system.

I had the pvr-250, and was continaully asking myself during the initial setup 
"why do I have to set this up, didn't I tell it I already had a PVR-250?  why 
aren't those configuration choices made for me?"
