Can you explain what the regression is that you're seeing?

I'm using intel-8x0 on nForce2 with 1.0.6a and I haven't noticed any
problems that I could attribute to ALSA. My myth is built against the
1.0.5a libs though and that's what I have installed; only my kernel
driver is 1.0.6a.
