[mythtv] Xlib: unexpected async reply

I keep getting these errors from the frontend:
   Xlib: unexpected async reply (sequence 0xa76fa)!

After the error, the frontend seems to continue working ok (playing video, 
etc), but nolonger responds to key events (which come from irxevent).
This only started happening after I upgraded to the latest CVS on 
Saturday.  A bit of googling seems to suggest that this is to do with 
making X calls from multiple threads.  Is anyone else suffering from this 
problem?
