Okay, I'll go and look at ivtv.  I do all of the tests that I find for ivtv
and they seem to work just fine.  All of the ivtvctl commands (used to be
test_ioctl) work great.

Is there a battery of things I can do to rule out ivtv?  It works in many,
many ways, and throws no errors anywhere.
