Exactly my point:
Just because a piece of software can be used to do illegal things
doesn't mean that it shouldn't be used.

No it doesn't.  Has nothing to do with sharing TV shows.  Everything
listed in Torrentocracy is completely legal.  A user can choose to add
news feeds that have illegal torrents just as a user can choose to add
illegal ROMS or Rip a copy protected DVD.
