I don't quite follow your question.  I will try and answer what I THINK you are
asking..

The 3.0 patch puts NetworkId.ServiceID as the xmltvid when it does the scan for
services and mythscan2 uses this to insert events, this will break using xmltv
to insert guide though. I have plans on making EIT scanning use only the
network keyfields in the database and leave the xmltvid alone for mixing and
matching of EIT scanning..  This is one my "requirements" for the dvbpatch set
(being able to work with xmltv and eit scanning) before I will try to get it
into mythtv.

You still need to use the mythscan2 application and follow the diretions
provided with it..
