I want to write a plugin or extend mythmusic to add support for
streaming music. But as i just started with c++ programming it sure will
take me some time to get going. Someone mentioned he's working on an
imap mail client iirc.

The working/established ones are all on myth's site. mythnews
has just been released by its author and still needs to be reviewed
by myth developers. But i'm sure if things go well it will be
announced officially on myth's web site.
