That'd be fine with me.  I'd use the Qt objects (QWaitCondition, etc) instead 
of the raw pthreads stuff -- I've been slowly removing the direct pthreads 
calls, and it doesn't really make sense to add more.  I generally test stuff 
as I commit, so no worries there..
