Yes, use the UTF-8 code. Converting single character to UTF-8 is not always
simple, I usually use a small trick: google.

Simple search for the character you want to translate and then look at the
url google point, a simple hex->dec conversion and you are ready to use your
numeric keypad.

Uhm... google answer simply 0x26, this mean this character doesn't need
utf-8 conversion... sorry
