Sometimes, when I see something funny on tv, I skip
back a few hits of the Left Arrow key to watch it
again.  Sometimes when I do this, I hit the key one or
two times too many and skip back 5 or 10 seconds too
far.  Then, before I can stop myself, I hit the Right
Arrow, and I am taken 30 seconds forward!  Dah!  Not
what I wanted!  

The smartForward patch fixes this.  It changes the
fast forwarding behavior so that if you have just
skipped backwards, skipping forwards will skip the
same number of seconds forwads as back would go.

Here's a version of this patch updated to work in
current cvs.  

It is configurable, in case this gets committed, since
some people undoubtedly won't want this. :)

(But I've gotten emails from a few people besides
myself who do want it, which is why I'm keeping this
patch current.  That, and I still think it would make
a nice addition to cvs. :] )
