[mythtv] Problem with Skipping Forwad, Rewind

I just noticed that with current cvs, running on
Redhat 9 on a P4 with hyperthreading, skipping
forward, and back, and page-up, page-down is broken. 
It always jumps correctly, but then about half the
time it will immediately jump back to where I was
before I pressed the button.

Also, when I use < or > to fastforward or rewind, and
then hit enter to start playing again when I get where
I'm trying to go, it continues playback where I was
before I pressed < or > . 

This doesn't happen on my other computer (Mandrake 9.1
on an athlon xp 1600+).  I've noticed that threading
issues rear their ugly heads pretty consistently on
the P4, and consistently lay latent on my Athlon XP,
so I'm guessing it's a mutex not getting locked...  I
think this started around the time of the patch for
updating the osd while displaying non-pause
messages...
