I send in a patch a long time ago, which was not accepted as-is. 
Unfortunately I couldn't work on mythtv for some time after, and never got 
around to syncing it again with CVS. If you grab the patch from the 
mailarchive (search for my name) you should see what it was all about, 
biggest problem was that keys are processed in two ways (QT and X-events), 
I rewrote the main output inside a QT widget to fix this. Solved the 
eternal keyboard-focus problem as well.
A third way was the QT slot-mechanism in the EPG.

If you want more info mail me on the list or directly (after the weekend 
preferably), shame to let the work go to waste but I'm not interested in 
developing it myself anymore.
