[mythtv] alternate EPG not redrawing

I have redhat 8, radeon 9700 pro, and I get the epg not redrawing
problem. I tried doing what you suggested, "scrolling all the way
through" but it did not help. When watching livetv then switching to
EPG, if I scroll down channels and hit "x" it switches the channel in
the upper right but not the guide itself. But, if I move to the right ,
(right arrow), the guide switches to the correct channel.
