Ah, I'm sorry -- for some reason I thought you said you changed it to one 
query per channel per timeslot, not one query per timeslot.  That would have 
been more queries than the current guidegrid style if the web stuff was ever 
modified to display things more accurately than in half hour chunks..  So, 
I'll see about getting your patch merged in.

More likely it's the alpha blending that's going on..
