It has been a long time since I have done any network coding but I seem to remember that you can change the timeout for dummy socket binding existance, and I thought it would be nice if it was less because if you Ctrl-C the backend then you have to wait to restart so that the dummy socket binding can go away!!!! Let me know what you all think!!
