[mythtv] Canopus ADVC-100/Firewire....

Hello,

Was curious as to how much work it would be to get MythTV to say capture 
video from a firewire card being fed by a canopus ADVC-100?

I am tired of replacing VCRs that keep going bad. I am looking for a way 
to record shows from my DishNet system to a computer.  Was looking for a 
way so that the IR signal from the DishNet system would start the 
computer recording like it does the VCRs now (using something like the 
IR-Transceiver and LIRC to control it.)
