Well, all those other bugfix commits after that initial commit helped a tiny 
bit.

Very good timing =) -- this exact issue was _just_ brought up on the IRC 
channel.  Lemme know if the fix I just committed actually does fix it, I 
didn't quite test it, but it should be doing the right thing now.
