"well defined meaning" to me means freq, regardless of its unit of
measurement. It's safe to do that convesion since the freq range allow
perfectly doing this.
note that DVB-s freq. are *always* expressed whithout that precission (see
vdr, lyngsat.com, satcodx.com) if we do force units in Hz, we will be the
unique guys doing so, that's will just confuse users. Think on compatibility
and ease of use
Note that also latest dvb driver apps (i.e. szap) and also dvbtools
(dvbstream, dvbtune) are doing the same conversion. I've just took that idea
from
them. Is not that complicated check the unit of measurement just before
doing the tuning.
In fact, it's already done with the lines you mention.
The unique doubt I have on this is extending that also to t/c =)
