[mythtv] channelnames, tv_rec, channel, channelbase....

while trying to fix the inputname problem while tuning DVB, i see that it expects to fill tha input name by calling GetCurrentInput at tv_rec.

GetCurrentInput returns the channelnames value  at channelbase.

channelnames are filed at channels.cpp, but only for analog.

But the fact I don't even understand how this works.

What I want to do is:
-Fix the empty inputname while we are in a DVB channel
-Be able to switch between inputs if we change between DVB vs Analog on a backend that has both types.
-And well, maybe also findout how to solve the livetv problem when switching channels when the input is DVB.

Can anybody give me a few lines explaining how the inputs are handled/coded in mythtv?
