Uhh, right, duh, wasn't paying enough attention to the question.
How about

(gif|jp?(e)g|tif?(f)|png|p[bgp]m|bmp|x[bp]m|rle|rgb|pcx|fits|pm)

Or just limit it to whatever formats the display code can handle :)
