[mythtv] Weird mythtv error

Hi All,

I've been having a really weird mythtv error...i've tried blowing everything away and
recompiling the CVs a dozen times to no avail..


whenever i run mythtv (after running mythbackend) , i get the following error:

[root at localhost setup]# mythtv
connecting to backend server: localhost:6543

Could not connect to server

Connection timed out.

all the other progamrs work fine..in fact, i can schedule recordins, actually record TV, watch
recordings, nad evne watch shows currently being recorded.
but the minute i go to wathc live tv, the above error occurs and mythtv exits.

Any help would be appreciated.
