The ring buffer mostly starts over when you change channels.  It doesn't do 
stuff like the file headers, etc, but..

Heh, the current stuff just keeps the current live-tv settings if a show 
that's supposed to be recorded comes on while you're watching tv.  So, it 
doesn't really deal with it =)

Biggest issue would be the amount of time it would take to copy all of the 
data from the ringbuffer over to another file.
