[mythtv] Hardware configuration

Which kernel version do you mean? I'm using the latest redhat-anointed
kernel release, though of course I realize thats probably a bit behind the
actual latest kernel.

Try upgrading your kernel, the newest one has fixed some excessive CPU
usage when using IDE drives. Please report of it fixed it (!)
