[mythtv] Colors too mellow and no sound

In my experience, the compress/decompress cycle tends to result in
exaggerated visual artifacts if (for example) the input frame is too bright.
Try adjusting the brightness/contrast/etc. settings on your v4l device
using v4lctl or such, then trying mythtv.
