hmm, now a true frameserver functionality would ROCK...  allow for
multipass encoding, etc.  But that would be a bit hard, I guess...

Streaming would be possible, but encoding on-the-fly would be a mess
unless you had a REALLY fast system.  Encoding svcd on my dual athlon
1900+ takes 2-4 hours for a half-hour show (granted, I'm doing noise
reduction, which at least doubles the time - nontheless it's still
slow).  It'd be better to transcode and then stream.
