Absolutely no question that I was asking you to. However, it occurs to me
that there are often two ways to solve any problem and no real reason to
choose one over the other. If we could make you aware of some of the DVB
issues, then perhaps you might let this influence your design and pick the
one which helps the DVB people add support later...
Basically the DVB cards appear to expose some devices like /dev/video from
which you can read a demux'ed mpeg stream directly. I don't know anything
about the PVR250 other than what is on the list, but this sounds somewhat
similar? So perhaps it will not be too hard for me to look at adding
support for the DVB card later.
Anyway, I plan to wait until the mpeg support beds down a little bit,
however, it would be very cool if you would bear in mind the DVB stuff where
it is not costing you anything to do so
