[mythtv] brightness, color and contrast

These controls seem to be broken with the latest cvs.  When you try and adjust 
them, they go to the minimum setting and can't be adjusted up from there.

I've also noticed a number of mythbackend processes now running instead of 1 
which was the behaviour before.  Is this now normal?  things seem to work ok 
except for the problem above.
