[mythtv] RTJPEG --> Mpeg4 (Divx5) Best Practices

Hello,

        I've been converting Nupplevideo to Divx5 for the last few months
and I was wondering if any of the devs, or heavy users have some tips on
ideal quality settings for ths conversion.

        Most Brooktree chips capture at a max res of 640x480 so imagine most
users are going from:

Res: 640x480 (rtjpeg,mjpeg,nuppelvideo)
Sound: 16bit stereo 22khz
Framerate: 23-29fps

to

Divx5
Res: ??
Sounds: 128 mp3 ??
Framerate: ??

    Is there an ideal resolution to scale to from this source format? I
think a few examples from a few experienced users could save many people a
ton of guesswork.
