You should be able to get most of the info you need without multiple tuners. 
Just manually encode a couple of yuv files simultaneously and look at what
frame rate you (and others) get.  It's important to use the same codec and
options that Myth uses and it wouldn't be perfect but it's a start.  

Do you plan to put up a table of the responses you're getting?  I think it
would be interesting to get an idea of what aspects of a system make the
most difference (Mhz vs SSE vs cache size etc).
