[mythtv] RH 7.3 Locking up on mythtv

Redhat 7.3 system
Matrox G200TV - mga-drivers
ALSA 0.9

When I start mythtv (also when I select tv from the mythfrontend)
I get the following:

Probed: /dev/video0  - Composite
Probed: /dev/video0  -  S-Video
Probed: /dev/video0  - Television
Changing from None to WatchingLiveTV
Channel '0' has no tuner (Composite)
strange error  flushing buffer ....


After that the system is locked up tight.
Only thing I can do is power off and on.

Any ideas on what the problem might be?

xawtv works fine.
