All,

Just popping my head into the multiple tunner
discussion. A Typicall PCI bus (33 mhz, 32 bit) has a
a max bandwidth of 132Mb/sec. However, like most bus
systems there's a lot of hand shaking going on. Also,
if you're not bursting the data (doing single Dwords
which usually happens when you're sending control
signals to devices on the bus) your bandwidth takes a
big hit. Generally you'd be lucky to see 60% of your
max bandwidth on the PCI spec. To be honest if you
don't have an optimized system, and you have other PCI
bus traffic (?Sound Card, ?Video, ?NIC etc) going on
then you're most likely going to see 40-50% of Max
bandwidth. I wouldn't count on getting more then 60%
personally with a box that was just using the PCI bus
for Video Capture card + IDE interface.
