[mythtv] Will a Linux Installation survive migration to another PC?

A big maybe.....

Linux handles hardware shifts a lot better than Windows in my experience.  As 
long as your kernel has the necessary modules, you'll probably be allright.  
You'd be best to compile a kernel with modules for both boards and use that.
