[mythtv] compile/install problems

I recall when I was setting up 0.7 on RH8.0, I followed the docs step by 
step, but when it came time to compile
stuff, I had some problems, and was told to fix and run ldconfig.  So this 
is what I did (again) and
everything worked fine after that.

Curious.  Is anyone else using RH8.0 able to confirm this?  I'll add
it to the HOWTO if it's confirmable.
